Social  Media Intern

BKF is looking for a social media intern with a passion for helping people and wanting to make a difference in the lives of blended families and marriages. Our ministry serves to spread the Gospel to blended families all over the world and help shine the light of Jesus Christ to every home and marriage. Blended Kingdom Families recently launched its ministry in January 2020 and we are excited about the direction the ministry is headed! We are looking to build a strong, creative, and dynamic team as we begin this journey to change the modern-day interpretation of blended families and build Kingdom families!


As our social media intern, you will partner with our marketing director and help to maximize our ministry’s social media presence. This is an unpaid internship that presents you with a great opportunity to add quality work to your resume, to learn more about working in the ministry and non-profit field, and to gain experience in growing social media for a start-up company! 


Our Ministry's Mission: Blended Kingdom Families exists to break the cycle of divorce by equipping marriages and uniting blended families in the truth of God’s word. We educate families with resources and practical skills, empowering them to flourish in their kingdom identity and live life abundantly.



  • Creating content and brainstorming ideas for social media campaigns

  • Monitoring social media accounts, trends, and news

  • Scheduling content for multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn)

  • Collaborates with marketing director to create unique and engaging social media content.

  • Work with the social media manager to implement long-term and short-term media campaigns.

  • Create schedules to promote social media content across media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn).

  • Monitor analytics from running social posts to identify viable ideas

  • Find new, scalable ways to grow social media following and increase engagement 

  • Your role may expand beyond these duties to help where you are needed


Skills Required for the Role:

  • Have a passion for the world of social media marketing and digital marketing

  • Believer of Christ whose morals and values align with the mission and vision of the BKF ministry.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn

  • Positive attitude towards co-workers and project

  • Strong Internet researching and writing skills

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Experienced with design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere).

  • Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long copy.

  • An interest in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management

  • Familiarity with key social media tools (i.e. Facebook, Instagram) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • An entrepreneurial attitude

  • The ability to work collaboratively with a team



  • Experience first-hand the innerworkings of a non-profit ministry

  • Gain social media experience that will help boost your resume for future professional endeavors
